Wiener Family

Young families have always been the type of shoot I enjoy photographing partly because of the young children involved. Young kids come with this stigma that they are difficult to photograph or don’t cooperate, and maybe I have been lucky with all of my experiences, but I relish in their quirky personalities. Young kids have their own way of letting their personalities shine through, and there are ways to get them to giggle while capturing some great candids of them with mom and dad.

Matt and Julia are part of our life group from church, and their daughter Lizzy is about eighteen months old, just a little younger than my niece Norah. This curly headed girl has a sweet smile and she absolutely loves mom and dad. Both Matt and Julia are down to earth and kind. They are not afraid to speak up and engage with others – I know that was one thing that stood out to Chase and me the more we got to know them. During our life group meetings Matt or Julia always have something thoughtful to say or ask…I love people who ask questions that make you think and evaluate your own present state. They are genuine in their relationships with others. Our life group has been talking about being intentional in our relationships not only with each other, but with the people in our own lives, and I am happy to say that our group keeps getting better and better as time passes. Not to mention they all have had children in the last two years, so I have a tribe of moms to learn from.
